Nicolas Torgersen

Hello There! 👋

My name is Nicolas Torgersen, and I am a budding software developer, still breaking free into the wonderful world of programming!

When I am not working my day job, I split my time between learning different programming languages, playing video games, and spending time with my family. So far, I have learned HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, and C++! This portfolio website was written in pure HTML/CSS/JavaScript! (With some help*)

Programming has given me the opportunity to learn what goes on behind the scenes in websites, software, and even video games and mobile phones! It gives me a chance to delve in and find out why things work on their own, and how components work together to make new experiences!

PROJECTS

Feel free to take a look at some of the projects I have done!

Soda

Beverage Machine

Written in: C++

This is a simple "Soda Machine" program that gives the user 5 beverage choices, and the user has to decide what they want. once a choice is made, the user must confirm their selection, or go back to the selection screen. There is some loops that prevent invalid input, but also help to prevent wrong beverage choice (ie. "Oops, i meant to pick Choice 1, not Choice 3").

Grading Program

Written in: C++

This simple program takes a numerical score on a scale from 1-100, and converts it into a letter grade, with a couple "loops" given to the user, giving the option to enter another score, or quit.
